Where did you come from before working at UK?I came to UK in 1972 as a graduate student and have worked in UK Libraries since January 1973 as a student, staff, and faculty.
What are your hobbies and interests?
I enjoy reading (of course), sports (now mostly watching), and politics.
Tell us an interesting fact about yourself.
During my oral history career I interviewed Jacqueline Kenney Onassis (in her home in NYC) and Lady Bird Johnson (at the Johnson Library).

A daughter, Jessie, who is a graduate of Denison University and a second year doctoral student here at UK in School Psychology.

Favorite book?
I have just finished reading George Herring’s (retired UK History Professor) From Colony to Superpower: A History of American Foreign Policy. Right now I am reading Eleanor and Franklin: The Story of Their Relationship, based on Eleanor Roosevelt's Private Papers by, Franklin D. Roosevelt Jr, and Jr Arthur M. Schlesinger which was published way back in 1971.
What has been your greatest challenge in your new position? The most satisfying aspect?
I believe that as Interim Dean the greatest challenge is to make sure that we keep moving forward and not lose our momentum. I have appreciated the support from everyone throughout UK Libraries.
